Job Title: Regional Sales Director (West Region)

Reports To: Vice President, Sales, North America

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for all sales goals assigned in the region, and will be responsible for directly supervising up to 8 direct reports. The Regional Sales Director has primary responsibility for recruiting, hiring and retaining top tier performers from both within and outside of the aesthetic medicine field. Ongoing leadership of the sales team requires a proven ability to lead a team in the activities required to support a mixed capital sale and an ongoing utilization of each installed unit. The Regional Sales Director will also have primary responsibility for directing and supporting the sales team on the sales process and installation process for a medical device/procedure, and for fostering a culture of commitment to building and maintaining customer satisfaction for each installed account. Essential Functions:
The following is meant to a representative but not necessarily comprehensive summary of the duties and responsibilities for the Regional Sales Director:

  • Attract, train and maintain a high performing sales team to drive adoption and integration of the miraDry Procedure in every customer account
  • Target the hiring of Area Sales Managers who have experience with driving account utilization of consumables
  • Align customer selection, conversion, installation, and account management with utilization objectives (e.g., choose the right physicians)
  • Achieve the assigned monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets in the region
  • Lead standards of high integrity and honesty in dealings with customers and colleagues
  • Effectively train capital device selling skills with less experienced team members
  • Manage, monitor and evaluate marketing, customer service and sales support at a regional level using assigned CRM tools and reports
  • Develop realistic goals and action plans for the Area Sales Managers and Practice Development Managers as part of an integrated regional plan.
  • Manage the required administrative functions including the full integration of all activities associated with the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program
  • Attend trade shows, events and meetings as required

Education and/or Experience:

  • BS/BA degree required. MBA is preferred
  • The dedicated work ethic required for the activity and intensity of a fast-growing commercial company
  • 3+ years successful experience in transactional medical device sales (i.e., not detailing), preferable private pay vs. reimbursed
  • Experience in capital equipment sales is preferred, with strong track record of success in medical device sales with a utilization (consumable) component
  • Preferably has experience with the dermatology and/or plastic surgery customer
  • An innate desire to serve customers that includes a strong sense of personal responsibility for achieving and maintaining account satisfaction as part of a long-term customer relationship
  • Interpersonal skills suitable for role as ambassador for the company
  • Proven skills in building and managing a cohesive, high performing sales team
  • Ability to train and support regional team members with customer prospecting and closing skills required to support a capital sale and then drive utilization and consumable sales ongoing
  • Proven leadership ability with flexible and adaptable management style
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including polished presentation skills
  • Experience with luminaries and key accounts in developing deep and lasting customer relationships and loyalties to a company and its technology
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including the creation of PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets and Word documents
  • Must have the ability to travel and work weekends and evenings when required
